Cécile Mestelan

Cécile Mestelan is a french designer who lives and works in Lisbon, where she founded “Olho”, a ceramic workshop. Her work is driven by na exhaustive research, indifferent to the minimal and geometric atmosphere.
The collection “Açores”, that we present at scar-id store, was made after a trip to the archipelago.
Cécile drew inspiration from the black sand and the vivid colours of the hydrangeas. The pigments were mixed directly with the porcelain. Some pieces contain the Azorean sand. All pieces are handmade.
