Catarina Camelo

Catarina Peixoto, jeweller and resident of Porto.
Graduated in Product Design at the Superior School of Art and Design, Caldas da Rainha. Her initial work established bridges between jewellery and ceramics, and in the interaction with the materials and their concrete languages, the constellation that today flies over her production emerged: the game of tension between light and shadow, transparency and opacity, reflection and its absence. The polarity valuing each extreme, in the search for a formal balance that embraces in itself the warmth and delicacy typical of the organic qualities of some elements, and the polished and geometric rigor of others.
