Ricardo Salgado

Ricardo Salgado (1978) was born in Vila de Prado, in Braga. He began his professional and academic career in 1998, having graduated in Accounting from IPCA and entering the financial area, where he would later perform the role of manager, in an entity in the area of social economy.
In 2005, driven by an artistic curiosity that has always accompanied him, he entered the Sculpture Course at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto, a reason that led him to change his hometown and, since then, reside in the city of Porto.
In 2021, for the first time he came into contact with the world of ceramics, thus discovering a new passion that allows him a new form of expression and which has already led him to carry out some training activities with the aim of acquiring, deepen and consolidate knowledge in this field, highlighting the Pottery and Ceramics Workshop promoted by the IPCA Superior School of Design, in Barcelos, and the attendance of several courses at CENCAL, in Caldas da Rainha.
