Sílvia Pinto Costa (Lisboa, 1983) is a Visual Artist with a degree from the Faculdade de Belas Artes da Universidade do Porto. Between 2007 and 2010 she exhibited painting and photography works. Sílvia teaches Photography, Art History and Audiovisual Communication at various educational institutions.
In 2013, with André Ramos, she founded SCAR-ID.
Sílvia additionally developed ceramic workshops at the Pedro Santos studio in 2019, in WOC – Workshop in Pottery and Ceramic Design at IPCA in 2022, and at CENCAL, Caldas da Rainha in 2023.
In 2019 Sílvia began designing and producing ceramic lines for her brand ATER, where she explores a certain typological and formal exaggeration and challenges the notion of balance. In 2022 she exhibited at the 1000 Vases Collective Exhibition in Paris
